All must place the well-being, health, and safety of horses and others above all other considerations.
Smoking, vaping, and drug use are strictly forbidden.
All must foster a supportive and friendly atmosphere. Respect fellow boarders, lessees, staff, and property, including on social media. Conflict is to be handled respectfully and directly. This is a drama-free barn.
Helmets MUST be worn at all times when mounted.
Riding alone is prohibited. Sara, Maggie, or Ethan must be present whenever someone is riding.
No jumping allowed without Maggie present.
If you move something, please put it back. If you open it, close it (doors, gates, etc). If you turn it on (water, lights, heaters, etc), turn it off when you’re done. If something breaks or needs attention, please let Sara, Maggie, or Matt know.
Dogs and other pets are not allowed on the property without permission.
Boarder and Leasee Rules
If you use arena equipment (poles, gate, tarp, cones, etc) during a free ride, please put the equipment away after you are done.
Everyone is responsible for keeping track of and caring for their own helmets, grooming equipment, saddle pads, etc. Haven Hills is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
No riding fast than a lope except in a lesson.
Do not use things that do not belong to you without expressed permission from the owner.
Use the brushes that belong to that horse.
Personal helmets and grooming kits may be stored in a locker in the barn, but it is up to the lessee or boarder to ensure that their equipment is in the trailer prior to a show or clinic. Personal items must be labeled.
Do not use helmets that belong to someone else. Lesson helmets may be used if needed, but not personal helmets. We recommend taking your personal helmet with you, putting it with your horse's tack, or putting it in a locker to avoid it accidently being used during lessons.
Clean up after yourself.
Tack must be put away after use.
Halters should be hung up in the barn after use with the lead rope attached.
Gates should be closed and latched after being used
Grooming equipment must be put back in its proper box/bag after use
Pick up and properly dispose of any manure left by your horse in the arena, outside of the arena, by the trailer, in the paddock alleyway, in the yard/driveway, and in the wash rack.
Anyone who rides at a show is expected to help clean out the trailer, organize the tack room, clean and put away tack, buckets, hay nets, etc in the days following a horse show.
The tie rail and wash rack areas are to be kept free of grooming tools, equipment, hair, dirt, hay, and manure. PLEASE clean up after yourself and your horse.
Riders must help either load before a show or clinic or unload afterwards.
